These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website and the STT (Secondary Transfer Test) analysis tool (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Purpose and Scope of the Service
1.1 The Service provides statistical summaries and analysis of historic STT (Secondary Transfer Test) examination performance based on data supplied by users.
1.2 The Service is intended solely for personal, private, and non-commercial use by parents and guardians considering school choices.
1.3 The Service does not provide educational, admissions, legal, financial, or professional advice.
1.4 The Service does not recommend or endorse any school, and does not guarantee examination success or admissions outcomes.
2. No Educational Advice or Prediction
2.1 The outputs generated by the Service are based entirely on historical performance data and do not indicate future results.
2.2 Statistical comparisons, confidence intervals, p-values, effect sizes and other metrics are descriptive only and do not imply causation or the quality of teaching or provision of any school.
2.3 You acknowledge that STT outcomes depend on numerous factors outside the scope of this Service, including but not limited to pupil ability, home environment, tutoring, and exam variation.
2.4 No analysis provided by the Service should be used as the sole basis for decisions affecting a child's education.
3. Acceptable Use and Restrictions
3.1 You may use the Service only for personal use.
3.2 You must not:
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose, consultancy, tutoring business, or paid advisory service.
- Scrape, copy, replicate, reverse-engineer, or attempt to automate extraction of the Service's outputs or underlying methods.
- Upload data belonging to third parties without proper authority.
- Use the Service to assess, rank, publish, or publicly compare schools in a way that may cause harm to the reputation of institutions or individuals.
- Use or share the Service's outputs in any publication, marketing material, website, promotional content, or data product without prior written permission.
3.3 You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
4. Data Uploaded by Users
4.1 You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and ownership of any data you upload.
4.2 You confirm that uploaded data: does not contain personal data of identifiable individuals; is lawful for you to possess and upload; may be processed for the purpose of generating aggregated statistical outputs.
4.3 The Service does not store or retain identifiable personal data, and any uploaded files may be deleted automatically after processing.
5. Limitations of the Service
5.1 The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
5.2 No guarantee is given that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at all times.
5.3 The operators of the Service accept no responsibility for: inaccuracies in data uploaded by users; incomplete or inconsistent datasets; statistical limitations; misinterpretation of outputs by users.
5.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service disclaims all liability for decisions made or consequences arising from any use of the Service or reliance on its outputs.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 All software, algorithms, models, compilation methods, statistical techniques, designs, and content provided by the Service are the exclusive property of the operator.
6.2 You are granted a limited, revocable licence to use the Service solely for personal evaluation purposes.
6.3 You must not copy, distribute, sub-licence, sell, or adapt any part of the Service's outputs, structure, or functionality.
7. Prohibited Representations
7.1 You must not claim or imply that: the Service predicts individual STT results; the Service certifies or grades any school; the Service provides authoritative educational judgement; the Service is endorsed by any school, exam authority, or admissions organisation.
8. Termination of Access
8.1 The operator may suspend or terminate access to any user who breaches these Terms or uses the Service in a manner deemed inappropriate or harmful.
8.2 Termination may occur without notice.
9. Changes to the Terms
9.1 The operator may update these Terms from time to time.
9.2 Continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
